| 説明 | Open your mouth and say 'aah'! Dentition of the pygmy hippo. And no, the fish near the mouth is in no danger of being eaten, hippos are primarily herbivores. (barring a few rare occasions when they eat carrion, but those too are the full sized hippos, I'm not sure about the pygmy variety. In any case, they do not eat fish). The fish is in fact eating the parasites off the hippo's snout. (Singapore, Oct. 2009) |
