| 説明 | No trip to Darjeeling can be complete without a trip to the train station to see the famous Darjeeling Himalayan Railway (DHR). This is late after noon traffic at the station. The DHR, nicknamed theToy Train is a 2 ft (610 mm) narrow gauge railway from New Jalpaiguri to Darjeeling. It was built between 1879 and 1881 and is about 88 kilometres. The elevation level is from about 100 metres (328 ft) at New Jalpaiguri to about 2,200 metres (7,218 ft) at Darjeeling. (May 2009) |
