| 説明 | If Applecross be a little piece of heaven fallen to earth then the Inn is its beating heart. Maybe I'm being over-romantic here but its how I feel right now. We have made an excellent journey train to Inverness where Neil and Sheila met us and taxied up to Applecross. Our tents are pitched on the excellent campsite a few minutes walk away. We have been wandering round Applecross Bay where Sheila introduced me to the art of geocaching (something I fear I may live to regret), we have visited the ruins of the seventh century Applecross Monastry. Now its time for a beer in the Inn, much improved (prices to match) since my last visit here almost exactly 32 years ago on 22/05/1980 when with my then partner - Ruthy Conway we climbed the Cioch Nose a magnificent route giving 450' of quite splendid V.Diff climbing straight up the front, and these are things never forgotten. |
