| 説明 | Parallel tasting of four lambics from cask at the 21st Weekend of Spontaneous Fermentation, from left to right: Mort Subite, De troch, Girardin and Hanssens.** Mort Subite Lambic (10 months)Poured a clear golden color. Aroma of green apples and lemon. It had a tart, sour mouthfeel with plenty of lemon. A bit simple.** De Troch Lambic (12 months)Poured a clear golden color. Light farmyard aroma with notes of oak. The flavor had a nice sourness with notes of dirt and dry leaves. Long sour fruity finish. Very nice.**Girardin Lambic (14 months)Poured a clear golden color, a bit darker than the others. Mild sour aroma, with hints of lemon. A bit oily mouthfeel, with a sour berry flavor and oak like tannins in the aftertaste. A bit too woody for me.** Hanssens Lambic (16 months)Poured a hazy golden color. Aroma of green apples. Smooth mouthfeel. Taste of green apples, dried hay and mild brettanomyces funkiness. It also had a noticable hop bitterness which lingered in the aftertaste along with a nice fruity sourness. A bold lambic![blog entry] |
