説明 | A hot May morning in Grove Park near Harborne in Birmingham.Better to be in the shade than in the sun.It has been a public park since 1936.Trees in Grove Park.Didn't want to be here for long, also it was too hot.One thing with this area - the map shows a Selly Oak Park, but I've never seen it from the bus.Usually this is the first park I see from the 11C when it heads between Selly Oak and Harborne.Birmingham parksGrove Park is a twelve acre open space in the Harborne area of south Birmingham. It was formerly the grounds of a long-demolished Georgian mansion known as Grove House that was once the home of Thomas Attwood who campaigned for political reform and was one of the first two MP's to represent Birmingham in 1832.The park, which screens the Harborne Old Village Conservation Area, contains copses, meadows, a lake and an historic oak tree. |
