| 説明 | Scanned on my $5 thrift store scanner with no post production.Olympus XATMax 400Recently, someone told me that there was a group of black and white film photographers who have a monthly meet at the local Multicultural Arts Center.i did a bit of investigating and found that it was sort of true.Apparently, there hasn't been much interest so there have been no meetings since some time last year.I was given the name and number of the individual overseeing the program.It turns out that this local gentleman, who graduated from Brooks Institute back in the 70s or 80s, has donated a full dark room and is willing to teach anyone who'd like to meet up on a monthly basis.FREE OF CHARGE!Once he's confident in a person's ability to use and take care of the equipment in the dark room you have unlimited access.There is only a very small monthly fee that must be paid to the Multicultural Arts Center and you obviously have to provide your own chemicals and paper.How can you beat that?I obviously jumped at the opportunity and have met with the gentlemen and one other "student" twice in the past three weeks.Last night I developed my first two rolls of film.The image above came from one of those two rolls.I erred and developed it for 3 minutes short of the recommended time but I don't see that there were any ill effects.Nothing earth shattering but I'm not sure if I've ever been more proud of any roll that I've shot.We're supposed to meet again in two weeks.If all goes well, I'll take part in making an optical print from one of my negs for the first time.I can't wait! |
