| 説明 | Our very own Charlotte Fire Department’s Blaze baseball team enjoyed the rewarding experience of playing in a baseball tournament with various public safety teams. Hosted by the New York Police Department, The Anthony Vazquez Memorial Tournament was held in Brooklyn, New York from May 30th to June 2nd. CFD Blaze 9 ended up taking 3rd place in the overall tournament but not before defeating NYPD 9-2 in spirited action. In addition, the members of the CFD was invited to a private service for first responders at the 9/11 Memorial. This included a memorable ceremony at ground zero and the opportunity to experience the moment from the 80th floor of the new tower. The Charlotte Fire Department continues to look forward to opportunities of sports and competition among our brothers in public safety. |
