| 説明 | Wilson High School is located about 15 miles east of Los Angeles, in the unincorporated community of Hacienda Heights. Founded in 1968, the school has seen a sharp increase in students of Asian background over the decades, and is extremely academically competitive. I am visiting on a warm Saturday afternoon as the high school holds a fundraiser.Stacy Ann Ferguson, who is the lead singer of the Black Eyed Peas and is usually known by her stage name Fergie, is a graduate of Wilson High School.The fundraiser includes a small classic car show. This 1958 Impala is owned by a woman named Karen, who is the car's second owner, and is proud to say that this is an unrestored car with all original components!There are two camps to the classic car collectors, and Karen is from the "drive the car as little as possible and keep it as original as possible" camp. The other camp is "cars are meant to be driven, wear and tear can be restored" - I am more likely to be the latter. |
