| 説明 | For the past few days the icon that allows visitors in my stream to leave comments has disappeared (not sure why), hence, they can't comment. Also, for the past few days I have been away and unable to check people's streams.Something good has come out of it: I have seen the light. I have noticed that those people who really wanted to see my photos and comment on them have done so, regardless of me reciprocating or comment boxes disappearing. They have messaged me, faved the picture...All of this has got me thinking: it is nice to see what people have to say about your photos, but I was starting to dislike the fact that at times I felt an obligation to sit in front of the computer, like a vain race to get comments, high marks or props. That is not the reason why I post: I am not looking for Explored shots. As a matter of fact, the ones that have made it in my stream are random and not my best ones by a long shot. So I have erased the set that contained those. After all, I am not a professional photographer and never will be. This is just a passion and something I want to enjoy without feeling obligations, nothing to inflate my ego and that will prevent me from improving myself.I shoot and post as a way of sharing my life, however interesting or otherwise, and as therapy sometimes. I enjoy the interaction with my contacts who I am close to in different degrees and ways. I enjoy meeting new people and seeing their talents, learning about their experiences, families, places where they live and even meeting them in person. So I will be taking a step back in the "commenting field" (sometimes it is just not feasible with the little time I have), but as always...... thank you for your friendship, for your valuable input, praise and critique. |
