| 説明 | Clicked in the outskirts of Jabalpur town in the state of Madhya Pradesh. Was walking about through the scrubland when I heard the call of these birds. Knew instantly that they were babblers but did not know which kind. Luckily they are not shy birds. The Large Grey Babbler is an Old World babbler found in India. They are locally common in the scrub, open forest and gardenland. They are usually seen in small groups and are easily distinguished from other babblers in the region by their nasal call and the whitish outer feathers to their long tail. It is one of the largest babblers in the region. Their yellow iris and dark lores make them easy to distinguish. |
