| 説明 | The third instalment of commuting in the sunshine! Worry not I'm in one piece.I was riding in this morning and in nearly the exact spot in the photo below a car drove straight in the back of me. She said she was doing 25-30mph and couldn't see where she was going because of the sun. I was doing around 10mph and taking it easy on my legs ready for our Port Talbot to Edgware ride in two weeks time. I heard her coming and thought she was going to overtake on the bend (it happens) but unfortunately not. I ended up half on the kerb and half on the road thinking oh my this hurts. I was trying to get the reg of the car as it kept going up the road and I thought it wasn't stopping but it did. A guy came round the bend on the other side and stopped his car, a cyclist stopped too, and the woman got out of the car and came down to see me. She was holding a small child and I think she called the ambulance. I couldn't move much so I stayed put and asked the guy from the car to help me move my leg off the road. Soon enough a PCSO turned up and then a police van and then an ambulance. They put a neck brace on me and loaded me on to a board. It all seemed to happen pretty quick and I was in Warrington A&E before I knew it. I had some X-rays and they kept me in for a while to make sure nothing inside was going to pop and then they gave me the all clear. I'm told my bike is a bit worse for wear but I'll have to wait 'til I get it back from the station to find out exactly what's bust.Everyone was really good, the people who stopped, police, paramedics doctors and nurses and Meg my doctor was only to happy to take my 365 picture today. I know I didn't push the button but I think I can have this one. |
