| 説明 | PDS Kampala screened the documentary, "Flow: For the Love of Water," on March 21 to 36 students and faculty from Kampala International University. The screening was followed by a discussion led by CAO Shannon Dorsey, USAID Engineer George Komakech, and Information Systems Officer Michael Halls. The documentary, which was part of the 2009 American Documentary Showcase, investigates what experts label the most important political and environmental issue of the 21st century--the world water crisis--and builds a case against the growing privatization of the world's dwindling fresh water supply with a focus on politics, pollution, human rights, and the emergence of a domineering world water cartel. The documentary includes a look at people and institutions from around the world providing practical solutions to the water crisis and those developing new technologies for successful global and economic turnaround. |
