| 説明 | A bottle of Paradox Jura from BrewDog in Fraserburgh, Scotland.Paradox Jura is the latest release in the BrewDog Paradox series of imperial stouts aged on whisky casks, previously they've aged the beer on Isel of Arran, Smokehead and Speyside to name a few. As the name implies, this version was aged on casks from Jura, resulting in a 15% abv potent beer.The beer poured pitch black with a thin brown head. It sported a mild peat aroma with notes of ripe berries and hints of caramel. The mouthfeel was full bodied with a flat, oily texture. The taste was fairly complex, I noticed a salty licorice character, syrup and ripe berries - giving it a sweet backbone for the light whisky and coffee notes. Its potent alcohol was only felt through a warming sensation. The aftertaste was long, with notes of licorice and even oak. |
