| 説明 | 20120304_091600_0039 .. It just made me think about all the lessons we teach our children. The big ones, the little ones, and mostly those lessons we impart not even realizing we've left a very deep impression on a small mind. When we aren't there to hold their hand they are left to lean on that gumbo of everything we have said and done. It isn't easy to know when you have used the right recipe and all the best spices. So we keep on trying.When I got up this morning there was this pretty sweet ray of sunshine streaming across the bathroom floor. The shape was perfect for an 'Amdy shadow shot'. The possibility of having the daily picture completed before the day really began was pretty compelling. As I was setting up Amdy there was quite an open area and I just dropped Mini-me into it making a mirror like image. The repeating pattern thing we are supposed to look for and capture as 'good photographers'. I got various angles and compositions. See www.flickr.com/photos/kphaubrich/6806520770/ When done with that I set Amdy and Mini on the glass and mirror 'set' from yesterdays picture. Hmmm ... I just started trying some things looking for something humorous or paradoxical. That trial and error hunt lead to this more touching scene. Amdys out of focus reflection high fiving the real Mini. The picture became very reflective of the situation many children face with parents not always readily accessible. It is a direct personal reflection for me because of work being 900 miles from home. So many others experience this with military service, separations, or illness. So a quick morning shot to get the 366 out of the way turns into a warm moment of introspection. Best Sunday sermon I've caught in a long time. |
