The church was the parish church of the Stuarts: Lairds of Castlemilk: who had the West gallery all to themselves; this includes a retiring room: in which the Laird and his family could take lunch between the two Sunday services. The family vault is under the West gallery and is used as a Session House and retaining room; its most recent internment was the previous Laird in 2006. |
