| 説明 | CW Taylor lives in my apartment building, in SW, where he chairs the Activities Committee and have spearheaded such events as the annual 4 July celebration at the River Park complex.A little more than a year ago, in September 2004, a day or so after I would return from my photographic exhibition in Fort Lauderdale, which was durng the height of the hurricane season, CW would mention to me that he had signed up for disaster training with FEMA.On the way home this chilly Wednesday evening, 30 November 2005, after having taken more one year anniversary commemorative pictures of the Capper-Carrollsburg Community www.flickr.com/photos/perspective/sets/1463244/ I'd happen upon CW walking north on N Street as I walked south.After a few seconds of greetings I'd inquire how his position with FEMA was going since when I had spoken with him a few months back, he was not too pleased. He said that he had just spent several weeks, perhaps litle more than a month, at a relief effort in Beaumont Texas. And was now home for a few days of R and R. Though Katrina was the major catastrophe that is now on the minds of most he said that there have been many others across the country and throughout the world.
