| 説明 | This radar station was part of the "Home chain low" radar station (not sure what that means) and is sited on top of Graig Fawr behind Margam Castle to guard against enemy surface craft & submarines in the British channel during WWII. The site consists of 3 sub-square concrete buildings with flat roofs. One with a framework of a steel gantry which was a base for a rectangular radar transmitter/receiver.The other 2 buildings were used to house generators. The Station was believed to be an Army base dated 1941-3 before being taken over by the RAF. |
