| 説明 | A pair of lovebirds at Auckland Zoo. It's a bit tricky getting a clear shot through a cage, but I just pushed my lens against the wires and the zoom's shallow DOF took care of the rest.Lovebirds are so named because of "the parrots' strong, monogamous pair bonding and the long periods which paired birds spend sitting together (Wikipedia)". I knew the idiom, but didn't realise there was a real bird with this name before visiting the zoo.These two seem to be Yellow-collared lovebirds, which are native to Tanzania. |
