Enjoy!Pier 14 San Francisco California, offering wonderful views of the San Francisco Bay looking eastward or captivating views of the South of Market and Financial Districts of San Francisco. I composed this image in hopes of offering a nocturnal tribute to my favorite spot in the city by the bay. This lone seat represents my quiet place of peace within the dark of night. I was blessed to enjoy a moonless night offering wonderful star filled skies over the fog-less city. I decided tonight was a perfect night for star trails over an urban landscape and my chance for a unique phenomenon despite light polluted skies. (This image is a sneak scene at a extended exposure composite in the works currently) I chose monochrome to bring out the moods and tones of the scene, shadows and highlights in the image will tell far more than color ever could.
