| 説明 | The annual Lucia celebration of the Swedish Club of Sarasota, in December 1999. Swedes celebrate Lucia as close to December 13 as possible, in Sweden and elsewhere. Lucia and her attendants are on the stage. The girls are singing traditional Swedish Christmas songs, plus a few American pieces. (There are usually a few boys, in minor roles, but I do not see any in this photo.)The event was at St. Boniface Episcopal Church on Siesta Key, Sarasota, Florida. This is a better view than some of my more recent Lucia photos. I now use a small digital camera, which has a correspondingly small and weak flash. |
