| 説明 | Fountain in Jephson Gardens near The Parade.It is the Hitchman Fountain. Grade II listed.Hitchman Fountain, Royal Leamington Spa - British Listed BuildingsROYAL LEAMINGTON SPASP3165NE JEPHSON GARDENS1208-1/7/184 Hitchman Fountain25/03/70IIFountain. Erected 1869. Designed by John Cundall. Millstonegrit and red polished granite with sandstone ashlar and Coadestone dressings. Gothic Revival Early English style. Circularbasin with low walls with cavetto moulding and roll-edgedcopings. Fountain base a quatrefoil with imposed square onplan, stepped. Then tooled plinths with pilasters with foliatecaps to angles surmounted by pyramidal caps. From these flyingbuttresses abut centre, with base square on plan surmounted bycylindrical shaft, then further plinth square on plansurrounded by 4 columns with elaborate foliate capitalssupporting quatrefoil basin with acroteria. 4 banded columnclusters support smaller quatrefoil basin surmounted bypinnacle with finials.
