| 説明 | Gardens behind the Pump Rooms.The bandstand in the middle of Pump Room Gardens.Nice looking bandstand.Regency style buildings along Dormer Place.The bandstand is Grade II listed.Bandstand, Royal Leamington Spa - British Listed BuildingsBandstand. Late C19 with later repairs. Commissioned byWilliam de Normanville, Borough Engineer and Surveyor ofLeamington (1882-1917). Sandstone, concrete, cast-iron andtimber with lead roof. Octagonal on plan. Stepped base withovolo-moulded upper stage. 4 steps to entrance betweenoctagonal piers with ball finials. Close lattice-and-circlemotif balustrade, shaped handrail, interrupted at angles byslender piers with acanthus capitals, and with cornice forawnings at capital level. Capitals support decorativeconsoles, frieze and tent canopy with low overhang. From theedge of the canopy at alternate piers hang 4 swan-neckedlamps.
