| 説明 | An eerie, surreal postcard I made a few years ago, from a scanned picture of the post-eruption landscape of Plymouth, Montserrat (found in Time Magazine; you can see the text showing through in the sky). The rocket was scanned from a "wonders of technology" book, the moon was found online, and the kid in the foreground with the IBM sailor's hat and Micky Mouse sunglasses is a childhood picture of me, playing on Daytona Beach, Florida. The "Zum Andenken" was taken from the back of a photo of my wife's grandfather, in full German military uniform, taken while in Poland during the Second World War.Looking at it again now, I can see the picture of me should be re-coloured to match the rest of the picture. That element is too yellow-orange for the rest of the dusty, grayish picture. |
