| 説明 | Memorial for the victims of the US Global War on Terror. World Can’t Wait set up a memorial at 11am on a Broadway and Chambers street, just block away from the 9/11 official memorial site. The memorial featuring 2 pop up tents, each hung withphotos of war crimes in Iraq, Afghanistan, including the released photos of Abu Ghraib. One tent had the complete set of posters depicting "enhancedinterrogation" techniques. Several people wore orange jumpsuits, sometimeskneeling on a small stage. 60 pairs of military boots from the Eyes Wide Open exhibitwere layed out in 4 rows, with flowers. Another 60 pairs of ordinary shoes spiraled in the area next to it represented the civilians from Iraq, Afghanistan, and Pakistan who have been killed. Wehad sidewalk chalk, and invited people to write messages, which about 60 people did, most in some way relating to the point we were making. Www.worldcantwait.org |
