| 説明 | I like this trend of 'floodlighting' buildings from the inside... It's not the interior office lights that have been left on, but lights that are in between the original windows and the new, bomb-proof, ones on the inner side. I reckon it gives a nice homely look to the building: far less institutional than conventional floodlighting.Quite a few architectural historians don't like what's been done to this building (I reckon the choice of roofing material has been the subject of more heated debate than has yet to be seen in the parliament debating chamber itself!). Though I would argue that it is a key component of the whole parliament complex: the (quite considerable) effort that went in to keep and renovate this building is well worth it: for the constitutional slap in the face of Lord Queensberry alone! |
