| 説明 | The Radeberger brewery was founded in 1872 in Radeberg, a town about 20 km (12 miles) northeast of Dresden. The beer found favor with German Chancellor Otto von Bismark and with Kings of Sachsen (Saxony). Binding (Frankfurt) took it over in 1992, and modernized the brewery. It is now part of the Oetker Group conglomerate. I "liberated" this beer mat from a restaurant in Warnemünde, near Rostock. I first drank Radeberger on a train from Leipzig to Berlin. I bought it at a Nimm's Mit store ("take with you") in the Leipzig station. |
