| 説明 | Looking forward to our the Wolfe's Camera trip through the Council Grove area on July 30. It's been really hot - not great weather for photographs, I'm ready to shoot!. We'll travel in a stylish air conditioned van and visit a variety of very unique places. All your images of the Old West - Cowboys, Settlers, Frontier Towns, Gunfights, conflict with Native Americans trying to protect their way of life, the Santa Fe, Oregon and California trails - all those passed through Northeast Kansas. We'll visit Bushong, a railroad town which once thrived and which has a fabulous bank which is now a shell, but which has been everything from a gas station to a beauty parlor to a restaurant. From there, we'll travel to Dunlap. This was an all black town which was part of the Exoduster movement where ex-slaves came to Kansas to found their own community and build a better life. The church and school are places which I find immensely moving. From there, we'll visit Council Grove which is literally filled with historical sites. If time permits, we'll return to Topeka through Eskridge - a marvelous Flint Hills community.If you have an interest, contact me or Wolfe's as soon as possible. I believe we have one group already, but a second group would only add to the fun.
