The recipes are cleverly and clearly adapted from fairy tales, like this one here. This is Magic Bean Stew from Jack and the Beanstalk. Instead of throwing out the beans that Jack got from the old man in exchange for the cow, Jack's mom cooks the beans for dinner in this delicious stew!The stew is almost vegetarian except for the addition of bacon batons, but these can easily be left out to make this vegetarian. Otherwise, there are onions, garlic, celery, potatoes and of course beans in this stew. The beans are simply canned beans; one tin of kidney beans and one tin of mixed beans.
