| 説明 | At the U.S. Space & Rocket Ctr., Huntsville, AL.I'll save my essay on the Nazi origins of our space program for another day.I will say this, though. Eichmann was captured, tried and executed. Hess died of old age in Spandau Prison. Mengele died a fugitive from justice, aided by his wealthy family's pharmaceutical fortune.Wehrner von Braun? Even though he was just as much of a war criminal as the previous three, we brought him here and made him head of our space program. I could be argued that NASA never would have gotten off the ground without him. He finally had to leave in the early 70's, when people (and rightfully so) started asking questions about his role during World War II.The beloved VW Beetle (courtesy of its designer, Dr. Ferdinand Porsche), our interstate highway system (autobahns) and Fanta soda pop have Nazi origins, too. Read up on it.Shades of gray, people. Shades of gray. |
