| 説明 | Perhaps Burns's most famous song. Its maybe a wee bit of a pity that the quote is restricted here to these verses which from my observations at Ne'erday seem to be the limit that many folks can get too! If Tolstoy's "War & Peace" holds the record for the book most people own but have yet to read, then I nominate this poem for the similar title of song most sung, but only in part.....Nice to see the Burns images on the wall, the seafaring pictures remind that Burns was at the time of his death in 1796 employed as a Customs and Excise "gauger" in the area. |
