| 説明 | Afghan villagers from Daste Riwat, Panjshayr province work together to transport an alternator for a 65 kilowatt-hour electrical outlet turbine unit down a steep 75-foot embankment Oct. 12, 2008. This construction is part of a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers project to build 105 micro-hydropower plants in seven of 34 Afghanistan provinces. The contract to install these units was awarded in late 2006 to Remote HydroLight and Advanced Engineering Associates International. The unit in Daste Riwat became operational in January 2009.
