| 説明 | A bottle of Ardenne Blond from HaandBryggeriet in Drammen, Norway.Ardenne Blond is a 7,5% abv Saison and one of the first beer styles HaandBryggeriet brewed. This bottle was from a fairly new batch, brewed in October 2010, so it had only been in my beer closet for a couple of months.The beer poured a golden, pilsner-like yellow with a big, white head. It sported a lovely, spicy aroma, with both coriander and orange peel, as well as Belgian-style dry hops and a yeasty note. It had a soft, creamy carbonation and felt medium heavy in the mouth. The flavor started out with a sweet fruity taste, like a mixture of ripe pears and oranges, and spices (coriander). I also thought I tasted baked apples with a touch of sugar and cinnamon. Delicious! The finish had a dry, hop bitterness that cleaned up after all the spice and fruit flavors. Ardenne Blond is still an amazingly good beer, tasty, refreshing and so easy to drink! |
