| 説明 | New St Pancras Parish Church (1819-22), Euston Road, London. Designed by Henry and William Inwood, this is apparently the earliest church in London in a purely neo-Greek style - although the overall scheme is close to that of St Martin's in the Fields, beautiful Greek detailing is used throughout. This photograph shows the caryatids (modeled on the Erechtheum, Athens) found on the North-Eastern and South-Eastern corners of the church, and the doors below, which lead to the burial vaults. |
