| 説明 | I found her on the third day of my quest. I had been searching every art gallery in Ubud, seen perhaps a thousand paintings, and had a list of half a dozen finalists from which I planned to make my final selection of a Balinese painting to bring home, when I walked into the gallery where she hung on the wall. I had seen so many poorly executed, cliche'd paintings of bare breasted island girls that I was determined to find a portrait of one wearing a formal costume. But this artist had beautifully portrayed a lovely young woman I just couldn't walk away from. |
