| 説明 | 26 March 2011. The TUC Anti-Cuts March for the Alternative on the Embankment.As we got nearer Parliament, for a while it began to rain slightly. Umbrellas and hats appeared. Which seemed to give extra drama to the dark bronze statue of Queen Boudica (and her two daughters) on a scythe-wheeled chariot, rebelling against the Roman Imperial occupation forces in AD 60 or 61. _________________________________________See where this picture was taken. People viewing my photos may be unfamiliar with UK politics, So maybe I need to mention that "Tory Scum" on the placard does not refer to Queen Boudica of the Celtic Iceni tribe.The two words are a simple factual description of the current British Governing party, otherwise known as the Conservatives. |
