| 説明 | I went past the Hungry Hobbit again, but the shutter was down so grabbed a new shot of it.Think I always wanted it more like this - closed at a weekend!Been wanting to get a shot of the Hungry Hobbit for a while. It is a cafe a short walk away from Sarehole Mill - near the Moseley / Hall Green border.One of the shops around the roundabout at Wake Green Road / Swanshurst Lane and Cole Bank Road.Named Hungry Hobbit as JRR Tolkien lived in the Sarehole area as a child. He based parts of the area on Moseley Bog etc for The Shire in Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit.They even named the local country park as The Shire Country Park.Bad news - the Tolkien estate is not happy about the this sandwich bar's nameMoseley cafe Hungry Hobbit threatened with legal action by JRR Tolkein's estate |
