| 説明 | “Not bad for an old man!”Capcom Bruce McCandless ribbed Alan B. Shepard, one of America's first seven astronauts, moments after he became the fifth—and oldest—person to walk on the lunar surface. The Apollo 14 lunar module (LM), touched down at the Moon's Fra Mauro highlands region on February 5, 1971, making NASA's third crewed lunar landing. In this photo taken through the window of the LM by Edgar D. Mitchell, we see Shepard after he has walked around to the north side of the spacecraft to get a view of Cone Ridge. The two astronauts would make the arduous climb up to the ridge with their three-wheeled cart the following day.NASA Media Usage GuidelinesCredit: NASA/Edgar D.
