| 説明 | This yarn is made from hand-carded, hand blended fibers, together with a strand of factory-spun rayon bouclé. The carded fibers include: white is cotton, bright green is "domestic wool" dyed with icing dyes here at home, brown is a mystery batt labeled wool/mohair, and grey is from a carded roving of unspecified fiber content. I spun the thick single of blended fibers on a medium spindle, added twist to the rayon bouclé on a very fast spindle, then wound the two together in a plying ball, and plied on a third spindle. The inspiration was "Understory", so after looking up some pictures of mushrooms and other plants that live under the forest canopy, and getting reminded of their interesting textures, I decided to use the unearthly white of mushrooms in a very textured yarn. |
