| 説明 | Hyde Park hosted the campaign launch of the Black Abolitionist Network’s Defund or Resign campaign. As I understand it, BAN is a coalition of Black Lives Matter Chicago, Chicago Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression, and other groups who have been at the forefront of efforts to defund the police. If you are wondering what their demands are or still don’t exactly know what “defund the police” means, I’ve put a photograph of the specifics at the end of this set of photos. There was food, music, painting, poetry, and lots of organizers with iPads signing people up for a series of rapid action trainings this weekend. |
