| 説明 | This series of images of the British Royal Family are Christmas cards sent by King Charles III as Prince of Wales to a senior administrator at the Duchy of Cornwall between 1987 and 2015. Each one comprises a heavyweight card embossed with monogram of the Prince of Wales. The earliest issues also carry the Spencer coat of arms (for Diana Princess of Wales) whilst the later ones feature the monogram of Camilla Parker-Bowles; now Queen Consort. The images in each card are actual photographic prints pasted to the card. The signatures of Charles, Camilla and Diana are produced by a writing machine. Many of the cards also feature the King's two sons - Prince Harry and Prince William as they grew up.The originals, together with their envelopes featuring the Buckingham Palace postmark, will be included in the specialist Royalty auction held by Reeman Dansie in Colchester in September 2025. |
