This and many other lizards were observed on roadways, mostly on the shoulder, sunning in the early sunlight. Upon approach this one did not take off, instead hunkering down and likely hoping it's horned body would deter interaction. After a brief photo session it was released a short distance from the roadway.Oklahoma |
