| 説明 | Built in 1929, this Tudor Revival-style building consists of a south wing along Milwaukee Avenue that has first-floor retail spaces, and a wing along Addison Street that takes the form of a courtyard apartment building. The building is clad in buff brick with one-over-one windows, terra cotta trim, gothic arched doorways with terra cotta trim surrounds, a granite base on the Milwaukee Avenue facade, and decorative reliefs, with gable parapets, terra cotta pinnacles, green terra cotta tile bonnet roofs, and a landscaped courtyard with a cream-colored terra cotta fence on the Addison Street facade. The building is characteristic of the mixed-use buildings that border both residential side streets and busier commercial thoroughfares that can be found in Chicago’s various neighborhoods. |
