Ray WallmanSeptember 13, 1984The bomb was placed in the car by a man who smashed the car window with a hammer, threw in the bomb, and then drove away in a van before it went off. Phil Singleton was in his office across the street at the time. The bombing followed a previous incident where Singleton was injured in a hit and run near where his car was bombed. The police at the time believed that the events were connected and some message was trying to be conveyed.
