Ray WallmanSeptember 13, 1984"State Trooper Leo Voight of the bomb squad dons gloves with Trooper Ted Harvey at right examine car of real estate tycoon Phil Singleton whose car was bombed in the parking lot."The bomb was placed in the car by a man who smashed the car window with a hammer, threw in the bomb, and then drove away in a van before it went off. Phil Singleton was in his office across the street at the time. The bombing followed a previous incident where Singleton was injured in a hit and run near where his car was bombed. The police at the time believed that the events were connected and some message was trying to be conveyed.
