| 説明 | Built in 1874, this Italianate-style house was built for Stephen A. Race in what was then a suburban area outside of Chicago. The house is clad in red brick with a hipped roof, bracketed eaves, two-over-two double-hung windows with limestone hoods, a small front gable, a wooden front porch with doric columns and a mansard roof, a large first-floor picture window, added around the turn of the 20th Century, a two-story wood-frame rear wing, and a raised basement. The house was designated a Chicago Landmark in 1988. |
