| 説明 | Built in 2007, this Contemporary building was designed by HOK to serve as a multipurpose arena and event center for the University of Illinois Chicago. The building features a vaulted metal roof with a large brise-soleil exterior metal screen, a glass curtain wall wrapping the north facade and entrance plaza, a large cylindrical metal post that supports the brise-soleil screen above the front entrance plaza, and a red brick exterior on the south, east, and west facades. The building is characteristic of the newer buildings on the University of Illinois Chicago East Campus, which embrace the surrounding urban context and street frontages, unlike the earlier buildings on campus. |
