| 説明 | Built in 1894, this Collegiate Gothic Revival-style building was designed by Henry Ives Cobb to house the Physics Department at the University of Chicago. The building is clad in limestone with a gabled roof, one-over-one windows, finials, a rectilinear entrance tower with a crenellated parapet and corner buttresses, a smaller octagonal tower at the southeast corner of the entrance tower, and multiple gabled wall dormers. The building today remains in use as a classroom building for the University of Chicago. |
