Around a large ditch and under artificial cover I discovered this healthy looking snake under a small rock that was partly submerged in the shallow, standing water of the ditch. The rock was in the sun, yet underneath was still relatively cool. This snake was calm upon capture and after a few photos, was released to safety under it's rock.Illinois |
