| 説明 | Jupiter Artland is an open air sculpture museum set in the spacious grounds of Bonnington House - a 17th century house expanded and remodelled in a Baroque Jacobean style in the 19th century that was once the HQ of the Unification Church - The Moonies cult - in the UK. Now in private hands, the owners have curated an eclectic mix of British contemporary sculpture including pieces from Kapoor, Gormley and Emin (all of which fail to impress incidentally).The highlight is the spectacular art landscaping by Scottish veteran Charles Jenks. Looking rather like Tellytubby Land, it is the first thing you see as you drive in and is certainly fun to explore!We also like the Holocaust-memorial style The Light Pours Out Of Me by Anya Gallaccio; a rectangular pit lined with amethyst crystals. And gold-painted barbed wire. It's that sort of place.. |
