This selective focus helps to isolate the subject and eliminate distractions, allowing the viewer to really appreciate the details of the leaves themselves.The lighting is natural and soft, from diffused sunlight. This gentle illumination highlights the intricate veining and the slightly fuzzy texture of the leaf surfaces without creating harsh shadows. Hopefully You can almost feel the velvety quality of the leaves just by looking at the way the light catches their subtle contours.I am happy with the composition as I think quite effective. The leaves are positioned in a way that leads your eye through the frame, with the central, upright leaves acting as a strong anchor. The slightly darker tones of the leaves contrast nicely with the brighter, out-of-focus background, further emphasizing the subject.Overall, I’m pleased with this example of close-up photography that successfully captures the beauty and tactile quality of the plant. I have paid attention to light, focus, and composition to create a visually appealing image. I swapped out my lens for my Lensbaby Sol 45 for this shot. |
